Retirement reception for history professors Jeanne Eder and Steve Haycox is set for April 21, 2010

The UAA History Department is hosting a retirement reception for two of its valued faculty members, Dr. Jeanne Eder and Dr. Steve Haycox.

Dr. Eder, former director of Alaska Native Studies, has been teaching classes on Native, public and U.S. history. Dr. Haycox almost literally founded the UAA History Department and he has been teaching and publishing on Alaska history since the 1970s.

Please come by to join us for cake and conversation as we honor the past, present and future of our two esteemed colleagues. The reception will be held Wednesday, April 21 from 2-3:30 p.m. in the History Department, ADM 147.
