Visual journalist and multimedia specialist Sara Quinn offers free local media workshop - April 16, 2010

Trained as a journalist, designer and illustrator, Sara Quinn has edited and designed magazines, Web sites, books and newspapers. She has almost two decades of experience in newsrooms and currently teaches in the areas of visual journalism, leadership and multimedia at the Poynter Institute for Media Studies. She is spending a whirlwind week at UAA as the visiting Atwood Chair for the Department of Journalism and Public Communication. In an effort to share Quinn's expertise with local news media and visual storytellers, UAA is partnering with the Alaska Press Club to host a free workshop for local visual journalists on Friday, April 16 from 2-4 p.m. in Room 117 of the Fine Arts Building.
