UAA's annual Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign is underway

Did you know that as valued employees of UAA you can make a charitable gift to a fund of UAA that has meaning for you? If you have never given before, here are a few facts about the campaign:

• Gifts of every size count.
• Our goal is to raise employee giving to 20 percent. Giving by UAA employees has been in the 10 percent range in years past.
• The Chancellor's Challenge is on. Any new or increased gift over last year's giving (up to $2,500) will be matched to the UA established fund of your choice by the Chancellor's undesignated fund. (Prior fiscal year gifts will be grandfathered)
• UAA already has 330 employees who have made a gift this academic year. (July - present, 2009)

What are the benefits to me?

• Receive a 'coffee or tea on us' coupon for any new or renewed payroll deduction and gifts of $50 or more made prior to May 1.
• Employee donors enjoy a special 'Morning Coffee with Fran' this fall as the Chancellor's way of expressing her appreciation to you in person.
• Employee donors appear in the annual Employee Donor Honor Roll. This is printed in September each year and posted on the UAA Web site. Click on the link to see last year's Employee Donor Honor Roll. Employee donors are heroes in the eyes of nearly 20,000 UAA students!
• Employee donors receive a receipt for tax purposes from the University of Alaska Foundation.

• UAA Annual Fund for Excellence (20669): This fund allows the most flexibility to meet the highest priorities and areas of greatest need for the University.
