UAA Development Day 2010

by Kathleen McCoy  |

This is the 20th anniversary of Development Day at UAA, a day devoted to personal and professional growth. Workshops planned for this year will give you tips on how to inspire others, handle conflict, start an organic kitchen garden, take care of aging parents, plan for retirement, and many other topics. You can also take a tour of our aviation facility or learn more about what is happening at UAA.

Our keynote speaker this year will be Gloria O'Neill, President and CEO of Cook Inlet Tribal Council, UAA alumna and member of the Chancellor's Board of Advisors.

Tai Chi Workshop
We will be offering Tai Chi this year at 7:30 a.m. at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium as a workshop for Development Day. Unfortunately, you will not be able to sign up for the class through the registration page on the Development Day website. There are 50 spaces available. If you wish to sign up for this workshop, please e-mail ansph1@uaa.alaska.edu today!

Lunch Sessions
If for some really good reason you do not plan to attend any of the workshops for Development Day, but plan to go to one of the lunches, we encourage you sign up for one of the lunch sessions through the Registration page on the Development Day website. If we don't know that you are planning to join us for lunch, we won't have a lunch ordered for you that day. With this year's fare being Texas Barbeque, you really don't want to miss out!

Volunteer
We need your help making Development Day happen. Please let us know that you are interested in volunteering and we will find a spot where you can best assist.

We encourage everyone to attend UAA Development Day.
