account for about 16 percent of Alaska's population, yet less than 3 percent of nursing professionals fall into that group? To address this disparity, the Recruitment and Retention of Alaska Natives Into Nursing (RRANN) program offers help to prospective students in planning for admission to UAA, as well as information about nursing degree programs and course requirements. Through RRANN, students have access to tutoring, financial aid and on-campus housing options tailored to their needs.
