Media educator Jon Ebinger will discuss the state of television news in the 21st century, including audience trends, changes in newsgathering and the interplay between the public and the media. Ebinger is the recipient of eight Emmy Awards, including six national news Emmys for his work at ABC News "Nightline," one national news Emmy for National Geographic Channel's "Inside Base Camp" and one local Emmy for WETA-PBS "World Talk." The Atwood Chair was created by the Atwood Foundation to help educate the next generation of Alaska journalists.
