Fall 2010: Mary Breu presents 'Last Letters from Attu' on Sept. 21

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Tuesday, Sept. 21, 5-7 p.m. UAA Campus Bookstore

Letters from Attu tells the story of Mary Breu's great-aunt Etta Jones who taught in rural Alaska. Sadly, Etta's last teaching assignment was at Attu in 1941 where she was taken prisoner by the Japanese when they invaded.

Everyone is invited to watch Mary Breu's presentation and hear what it was like to be alive during this critical time in world history.
