The Food Stamp Challenge

You and your family/household are invited to participate in the 2010 UAA Food Stamp Challenge, co-sponsored by the School of Social Work, the Center for Community Engagement and Learning, and the Food Bank of Alaska.  Spend a week, Sept. 26-Oct. 2, shopping and eating as though on Food Stamps; get a  taste of what many Alaskans experience every day, juggling limited time and limited money to provide nutritious meals for their families.  You are also invited to blog about your surprises and challenges. To learn the rules and register, choose one of two orientations, Sept. 23, 7-8 p.m. or Sept. 24, 5:30-6:30 p.m., both in the UAA/APU Consortium Library Room 307.
