UAA Alumni Association features the inaugural UAA Green and Gold Gala on Oct. 9, 2010

Anchorage Marriott Downtown, 820 W. 7th Avenue

The UAA Alumni Association announces the inaugural UAA Green and Gold Gala, a fundraising event to support student scholarships. The 'black tie event with green and gold flair' kicks off UAA Homecoming Week on Saturday, Oct. 9. The Gala begins at 6 p.m. at the Anchorage Marriot Downtown with a champagne reception, followed by dinner and dessert reception.

UA President Pat Gamble and UAA Chancellor Fran Ulmer will be attending. Other events include a presentation of the Alumni Association Alumni Award of Achievement, Alumni Humanitarian Award and the Emerging Leader Award.

Entertainment will be by AK Chill, the UAA a cappella student singing group and the UAA student Jazz Trio. There will be a specially-tailored live auction with select items of distinction. The proceeds of the event support UAA Alumni Scholarships and will bring together UAA alumni, administration, Association board members, community and friends in pride and support of UAA. Tables are now available in the following category:

  • Tables for 10; $1,250
  • Individual tickets; $125

Payment must accompany reservation by Oct. 1.

Event sponsorships are also available in the following categories:

  • Gold; $2,500
  • Green; $1,500
  • Seawolf; $500
