UAA community invited to attend NWCCU open forums Oct. 4-5

On Oct. 4-6, UAA will host the evaluation team from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). UAA is a pilot institution for NWCCU's new institutional accreditation standards. During their visit the evaluation team members will hold meetings with groups across our campus, including open sessions for students, faculty and staff. Your perspective is important, and we encourage you to participate in these meetings. Evaluators will also be visiting Mat-Su College and Kenai Peninsula College offering distance sessions for other community campuses while they are here.

The open forums will be held at the following times and locations:

  • Faculty Open Forum
    Monday, Oct. 4, 2-2:45 p.m.
    Administration Building, Room 204
  • Student Open Forum
    Monday, Oct. 4, 3-3:45 p.m.
    Administration Building, Room 204
  • Staff Open Forum
    Tuesday, Oct. 5 12:30-1:15 p.m.
    Administration Building, Room 204

Community campuses will have locations designated to join these forums at a distance. An ASL interpreter will be provided for the student forum. An ASL interpreter will be provided upon request at the faculty and staff forums. To request this service, please call Megan Carlson at (907) 786-1054.
