UAA Planetarium offers SonicVision Sept. 24, 2010

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Friday, Sept. 24, 10-11 p.m.

CPISB, Planetarium

UAA's Planetarium, Student Activities and Radio Station KRUA 88.1 FM are proud to bring you SonicVision, a mind-warping musical roller-coaster ride through a fantastical dreamspace. KRUA's DJs will supply a constantly evolving audio mix to accompany the dazzling digital animations created by the American Museum of Natural History and MTV2. With the infinitely complex visualizations of the Fractal Foundation's Fractal Pack thrown in for good measure, you'll never see the same show twice.

Shows are free for current UAA Planetarium members, $10 for adults, $5 for UAA students (with a valid ID), and $5 for children (4-18 years). Because the theater is dark and can be scary for young children, we do not recommend bringing kids under the age of 4.

Note: We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who is intoxicated. Ages 13 and up only, please. This show will be loud! For more information, contact Andy Puckett at (907) 786-1838 or by e-mail planetarium@uaa.alaska.edu
