Director of UAA Creative Writing and Literary Arts program David Stevenson speaks on Oct. 19

David Stevenson, director of UAA's Creative Writing and Literary Arts program, will speak at the Alaska Writers Guild Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble Booksellers. His topic is "Overnight Sensations and You Can't Hurry Love.' Stevenson will discuss the pains and joys of creative writing, and the often exceedingly long incubation time needed before any writer can write well.
