'Embracing Differences' is a motivational talk by pilot Jessica Cox Nov. 6

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Saturday, Nov. 6, 7-9 p.m.
Wendy Williamson Auditorium

Proving the sky is no limit, Jessica Cox earned her sport pilot license flying an airplane with only her feet. She is the first person without arms in the American Tae Kwon-Do Association to get a black belt. Jessica lives an otherwise normal life using her feet as others use their hands. Learn how Jessica approaches a challenge, redefining the concept of possibility. Be inspired to reach beyond perceived limitations and live your dreams!

Jessica's visit to Alaska is co-sponsored by Alaska Air Show Association, Alaska Airlines, Hageland Aviation, Aviation Medical Services, BP, Carlile Transportation, ERA Alaska, GCI, Lynden, Medallion Foundation, Dr. Michael McNamara, Sara Maurer, Sadlers and Stephen Mengos. This event is also sponsored by UAA Disability Support Services. For more information, please visit the Alaska Airmen website (http://www.alaskaairmen.org) or call Kaela Parks at (907) 786-4535.
