Human Resource Services has been very busy this fall presenting Performance Management workshops for supervisors as well as employees. These have taken place within departments and through workshops presented in the University Lake Building. We have received very positive comments from those attending the workshops indicating that the skills gained have helped immensely in discussions about performance management planning and accomplishments.

A recent workshop titled "Brainstorming!" came up with a significant number of ideas on how we can encourage the performance management process at UAA, so everyone has the opportunity of receiving a performance appraisal within the year. The top suggestion was to remind everyone through UAOnline, Outlook, Banner, e-mail, timesheets so both employees and supervisors are aware of the goal to focus on employee performance evaluations. This posting through Green and Gold as well as the ongoing workshops are helping spread the word about the University's goal relative to performance appraisals.

We have two more workshops scheduled for the beginning of December; one for supervisors (Dec. 10) and the other for employees (Dec. 14). Both are reaching maximum capacity. We will be adding additional workshops for supervisors and employees in the month of January,

To register for any of the current workshops, please go to the Human Resource Services training website.
