Dr. Claudia Lampman named Compliance Officer for Research and Graduate School

Dr. Claudia LampmanThe Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Graduate School is pleased to announce Dr. Claudia Lampman, professor of psychology, has accepted the position of compliance officer. She will be work closely with the compliance administrator to oversee Research Compliance at UAA and evaluate compliance issues and concerns.

Lampman has been a faculty member at UAA since 1992. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Boston University in 1984 and her doctorate in social psychology from Loyola University of Chicago in 1990.

Lampman has been teaching UAA students how to conduct research for more than 18 years, teaching courses in research methodology, statistics, social psychology and the psychology of women and gender. She has been a recipient of UAA's Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, the Faculty Mentor Exemplar Award and the Faculty Senate Award for Outstanding Service to the University.

Lampman has considerable experience in the area of research compliance. She became a member of UAA's Institutional Review Board (IRB) in 1994 and for more than 10 years, she was the chair of UAA's IRB. She also has served as chair of the IRB at the University of Alaska Fairbanks for several years.
