Judge David Mannheimer of the Alaska Court of Appeals speaks March 28

David Mannheimer is a judge on the Alaska Court of Appeals. Mannheimer has an expertise in computer technology and was an architect of the computerized case management system used by the Alaska Supreme Court and the Alaska Court of Appeals. He serves on the Alaska Supreme Court's committee on the rules of criminal procedure and the Alaska Bar Association's committee on the rules of professional conduct.

Mannheimer received his Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University in 1970 and his Juris Doctor from the University of California at Berkeley in 1974.

From 1974-1976, Mannheimer served as the assistant district attorney in Fairbanks. From 1976-1978, he served as the assistant attorney general. From 1978-1985, Mannheimer served as the assistant attorney general in Anchorage and became the head of the office in 1985, where he served until his appointment to the Alaska Court of Appeals.
