'Ice Floe: In the Beginning with Shannon Gramse' - Feb. 21, 2011

Monday, Feb. 21, 5-7 p.m. UAA Campus Bookstore

The poetry journal "Ice Floe" began in 2000. Editors Shannon Gramse and Sarah Kirk continued to place circumpolar poetry side by side in beautiful bilingual winter/summer issues for a decade. In honoring the success of the journal, selections from "Ice Floe" have been compiled into the book "Ice Floe New and Selected Poems," published by University of Alaska Press in 2010. Shannon Gramse teaches at UAA. At this event he will discuss how "Ice Floe" came together.
