ISER presents, 'Kids Count Alaska: A Program Overview' with Virgene Hanna Feb. 23

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Wednesday, Feb. 23, Noon-1 p.m.
Diplomacy Building, Fifth Floor

Please join us for informal presentations at UAA's Institute of Social and Economic Research. It's a way for ISER researchers and others from the public and private sectors to talk about topics of interest.

The annual Kids Count Alaska data book has just come out, reporting the latest information about health, safety and education among Alaska's children and teenagers. ISER has published annual data books since 1997, as part of the Annie E. Casey Foundation's nationwide Kids Count program. The foundation publishes a national book every year and also sponsors Kids Count programs in all 50 states.

Please join us at ISER to hear Virgene Hanna, an ISER research associate and director of the Kids Count Alaska program, give an overview of the program and talk about how the status of Alaska's children has changed over the years. She'll also describe the resources available online, for Alaska and the entire country.

The Diplomacy Building is at 4500 Diplomacy Drive, at the corner of Tudor Road and Tudor Centre Drive. Parking is free.
