March 1, 2011: Semifinals of Cabin Fever Debates

The top eight teams from this year's competition will square off Tuesday, March 1, in the semifinal round of the 2011 Cabin Fever Debates, UAA's intramural debating tournament.  Two teams from each semifinal round will be selected to compete in the Championship Round to be held on Thursday, March 3.

  • Semifinal #1 will happen at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1 in SSB 118.  The motion for the first semifinal debate will be "This house supports Wisconsin's effort to curtail collective bargaining rights for public employees."
  • Semifinal #2 will be held immediately following the first, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1 in SSB 118. The motion for the second debate will be "This house supports the use of aggressive entrapment to identify and foil potential terrorists."
