CAFE offers two workshops Feb. 18, 2011

"Making Learning Visible Book Group: Assessing, Documenting, and Demonstrating Your Teaching Strategies" The Making Learning Visible Series is designed to help faculty assess the efficacy of classroom strategies, document the effectiveness of their teaching, share effective strategies with peers and demonstrate exemplary teaching in the promotion and tenure portfolio. The series is centered around discussion of the book "Inquiry into the College Classroom: A journey toward scholarly teaching" by Paul Savory, Amy Nelson Burnett and Amy Goodburn.

Teaching Students with Disabilities Friday, Feb. 18, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 306

Faculty are invited to bring questions and engage in discussion with the director of Disability Support Services at UAA. Questions are welcome on any and all topics related to the needs of students with disabilities at UAA. An overview of the accommodation process as well as details on the online accommodation management system will be shared. Resources for faculty will also be provided.
