UAA Student Activities hosts a Feb. 17 lecture and discussion by Dr. John Corvino: 'Is Homosexuality Immoral?'

Dr. John Corvino holds a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Texas at Austin and is associate professor of philosophy at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He speaks and also writes extensively about GLBT issues. His work includes over 100 articles and opinion pieces, which have appeared in regional and national print media. Dr. Corvino received the 2004 Spirit of Detroit Award from the Detroit City Council for his work on behalf of GLBT rights.

Dr. Corvino uses humor and eloquence to address issues of GLBT rights in his lectures. He has been speaking about GLBT issues with professional organizations, churches, government agencies, and universities since the early 1990s.
