Webinar addressing LGBTQ Youth - Feb. 8, 2011

UAA Safe Zone and the Dean of Students Office invites you to join us for our upcoming webinar entitled, "C.A.R.E. Connect, Accept, Respond, Empower: How to Support LGBTQ Youth."

The presenter is the education manager at The Trevor Project, Meg Ten Eyck. There will be a 30-minute facilitated discussion led by Student Success Counselor Anna Hinman and Residence Coordinator Jamie Vance.

This webinar will be held by Screening for Mental Health, Inc. and it will address specific risk factors for suicide among LGBTQ youth, screening for safety with LGBTQ youth, steps to make schools safer for all students and how to promote resiliency in your school.
