This event is sponsored by the University of Alaska Anchorage Student Activities. The event is free for UAA students with valid UAA ID taking six or more credits and general admission is $5 at the door.

A New York Times bestseller, "The Secret Life of Bees," by Sue Monk Kidd, is brought to the stage in a verbatim theatrical adaptation by The American Place Theatre. This story of a young girl's search for the truth about her mother leads her to the discovery of the real meaning of family during the Civil Rights Movement. This one-woman play will be performed by Denise Wilbanks and is adapted and directed by Wynn Handmann.
