April 7, 2011: Chef Jeff Henderson presents, 'From the Streets to the Stove'

Chef Jeff is former crack dealer who spent 10 years in prison where he learned to cook. This was the catalyst that changed his life. After his release, Chef Jeff worked for year and became the first African America chef de cuisine at Ceasar's Palace and later was executive chef at the Bellagio Cafe in Las Vegas. He's written a cookbook, an autobiography and hosted a Food Network show. For more information about him, visit his website.

Chef Jeff's lecture is free and open to the public. Parking is free on the UAA campus after 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and free all day Friday.
