'12 Angry Jurors' runs through April 17, 2011

Friday, April 1 through Sunday, April 17 Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m. Sundays, 3 p.m. Fine Arts Building, UAA Harper Studio Theatre

The UAA Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to present "12 Angry Jurors" by Reginald Rose, adapted by Sherman Sergel and directed by UAA faculty member David Edgecombe.

A young man stands accused of killing his father with a knife. It is a case of overwhelming evidence and incompetent lawyers. One juror maintains the defendant's innocence and against all odds attempts to persuade the determined and prejudiced jury to find the truth. The play features a blistering character study, an examination of the American melting pot and the judicial system that keeps it in check. Revived on Broadway in 2004, this play won numerous awards and was reviewed as, "Stunning . . . A tight and effective drama well worth seeing."

Call the UAA Fine Arts Box Office at (907) 786-4849 for information and ticket prices. Tickets are also available at CenterTix.net.

Opening night reception will be after the show on Friday, April 1. We hope to see you at the production.
