The UAA Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2011 UAA Alumni of Distinction Awards. Do you know a deserving UAA alum who has generously or tirelessly worked toward the advancement of UAA and its mission?

Anyone may nominate a UAA alum. These awards honor individuals who have contributed time, effort and creativity to the advancement of UAA, the state of Alaska or the communities in which they live. The three awards include:

• Alumni of Achievement
• Humanitarian Award
• Emerging Leader Award

Nominations are accepted through April and selection will be early June 2011. Recipients will be honored at the 2nd annual UAA Green and Gold Gala hosted by the UAA Alumni Association on October 1, 2011 at the Captain Cook Hotel.

Alumni of Achievement
The Alumni of Achievement Award honors an alumnus who has attained prominence in his or her industry or profession, had a demonstrated impact on the community and enhanced the reputation and image of UAA. Find nomination criteria and form here.

Humanitarian Award
The Humanitarian Award honors an alumnus who has contributed to the community and strived to make a difference in the life of others through voluntary service or their profession. Find the nomination criteria and form here.

Emerging Leader Award
The Emerging Leader Award honors an alumnus who has made a significant impact in their industry or profession or contributed to the community and has worked to make a difference in the lives of others. The nominee must have received their degree within the past 10 years. Find the nomination criteria and form here.
