Classified Council nominations due by April 15, 2011

Deadline: Friday, April 15, 5 p.m.

Learn about what's going on all over the University. Contribute to making UAA a better place for staff. Have a voice in key issues that affect UAA hourly employees. Now's your chance. Get involved. Visit the Classified Council website.

Positions available:

  • 10 seats: Anchorage campus, two-year terms (2011-13)
  • 1 seat: Kodiak College, two-year term (2011-13)
  • 1 seat: Kenai Peninsula College (including Kachemak Bay); two-year term (2011-13)

Keep in mind that only classified (hourly) employees are eligible. You may submit more than one nomination and we encourage self-nominations.

Nomination process:

  1. Please send nominations via email to aygov@uaa.alaska.edu or reply to this email.
  2. Please include a name, phone number and very brief biography for each nominee. Biography should contain 2-3 sentences about where the nominee works, how long the nominee has been at UAA and why the nominee is interested in serving on Classified Council.
  3. Please indicate which seat the nomination is for (Anchorage, Kodiak or Kenai Peninsula College).
  4. Please only nominate those who are willing to serve and able to attend Classified Council meetings on the first Thursday of the month from September through May, 8:30-10 a.m. Audio is available for community campus members.

Voting will take place from Tuesday, April 19 through Wednesday, April 27. Newly elected members will be notified by April 29 and begin their service with the Thursday, May 5 meeting.
