Eric Pedersen to serve as UAA's next Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Bruce Schultz is pleased to announce the selection of Eric Pedersen to serve as UAA's next Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. Mr. Pedersen has more than 20 years of progressively responsible experience in recruitment, admissions, enrollment management and financial aid, including an executive cabinet level position. He earned a Master of Education degree in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University in 2003 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Whitman College in 1989. Most recently, he served as the Dean of Enrollment Management at Saint Martin's University, a comprehensive liberal arts institution in Lacey, Washington. Mr. Pedersen is experienced in meeting the enrollment needs of active-duty military and veteran students through Saint Martin's affiliation with Joint Base Lewis-McChord.  He is a data-driven decision maker and his knowledge of strategic enrollment management and the various institutional elements and student characteristics which effect enrollment is strong. Mr. Pedersen's references described him as a "solid decision maker," "student-centered," "well versed in enrollment management" and "exceptionally focused on student success."

Mr. Pedersen will join UAA June 6-10 and return full-time along with his wife and four-year-old daughter on June 27.
