Michael Melielo retirement potluck June 24 at Chugiak-Eagle River Campus

We would like to thank Michael Melielo for his 17 years of service to the University of Alaska, UAA and the Chugiak-Eagle River Campus, CERC. Michael will be retiring at the end of June.

Over the last 17 years, Michael has had many duties of which the most important is customer service. Michael understood that customer service begins before a customer thinks of UAA and continues long after the point of contact. Customer service begins with advertising; it begins with offering "courses that are wanted at times that are needed." Customer service both begins and ends with community service because the end game is to increase both the capacity of and the quality of life for both the students and the community. In these respects, Michael has been in charge of advertising and scheduling for CERC, and he has represented the university in the community through extensive involvement.
