UAA languages major awarded scholarship to study in Japan

Congratulations to Jeurgen (Luke) Klotz, a UAA languages major and recipient of the 2011 Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) scholarship, for study in Japan. Luke will be attending Hokkaido University of Education (HUE) for one year beginning in October 2011 as a UAA exchange student. UAA's Japanese program has sent up to five outstanding students to HUE every year since the exchange program began in 2006. Luke is the fifth individual to receive this prestigious award. The JASSO scholarship will cover all of Luke's living expenses in Japan for 12 months.
