Mat-Su College achieves record enrollment for fall semester

Mat-Su College studentsEnrollment at Matanuska-Susitna College reached 2,000 students for the fall semester 2011, a record high in the 53-year history of the college. Amy Seamans, the admissions representative for the college said, "It reflects the growing change in our community and student body. It's great to have so many students choosing our school.

"In January of 1958, this college offered ten classes. Fifty-three years later we have over 2,000 students," said college Director Talis Colberg. "It is very exciting to be associated with such a vibrant institution. Many people made this possible and this is a great event for the entire [Matanuska-Susitna] borough."
