Blackboard Workshops for faculty continues Aug. 17, 2011

New to Blackboard? Time to brush up on your Blackboard skills? The Faculty Technology Center (FTC) begins its August workshop series on Blackboard on Aug. 16. These one-hour workshops--covering GradeCenter, tests in Blackboard, the Blackboard assignment feature and more--are meant for beginners and for those desiring to refresh their skill set. Check the schedule for more details. Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 16 and 17, open lab hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. Stop by with your questions!

Did you know you can also find resources for Blackboard online? For example:

• In your Blackboard shell, navigate to Control Panel > Instructor Help Pages for instructions on how to make your course available, how to use the course copy tool, and how to log in as a student. (Also included: a handy checklist for setting up for the semester!)

• The FTC maintains a Blackboard shell with resources that faculty can access via our Secure Login Page.

• The IT Services Knowledge Base contains basic resources on SafeAssign and GradeCenter.
