Rasmuson Hall, Room 101

Join Congressman Don Young and Alaska Native corporate leaders as they discuss how Alaska Native corporations have developed and transitioned into the global economy.

"The discussion is an important one both from a historic and transitional perspectives today, to get a global view on the impact that ANCSA corporations have had on other indigenous groups worldwide," says Irene Rowan, chair of the non-profit ANCSA@40 committee.

The panel discussion, presented by the ANCSA@40 committee, is part of the ongoing celebration of the passing of the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA). This event is sponsored by Alaska Humanities Forum, BP, Bering Straits Native Corporation, First National Bank Alaska, Koniag, Inc., Jack Roderick, UAA College of Business and Public Policy, UAA Native Student Services and Wells Fargo.
