International Film Festival showing, Nov. 16

International Film FestivalCome take in an international film the third Wednesday of every month (Sept. 21, Oct. 19 and Nov. 16). All will be screened in the Professional Studies Building (PSB), Room 166. Tickets are just $5 at the door for the general public or free for UAA students with valid student ID.

Student Activities with support from the Office of International Affairs, the Department of Languages and International Studies are pleased to present the following:

Even the Rain
a selection by La Tertullia (UAA's Spanish Club)
Wednesday, Sept. 21, 7:30-9 p.m.
As the director and his crew shoot a controversial film about Christopher Columbus in Cochabamba, Bolivia, local people rise up against plans to privatize the water supply. Visit the film's website for more details.

Soul Kitchen
a selection by Deutscher Kultur Club (UAA's German Club)
Wednesday, Oct. 19, 7:30-9 p.m.
In Hamburg, German-Greek chef Zinos unknowingly disturbs the peace in his locals-only restaurant by hiring a more talented chef. Visit the film's website for more details.

Outside the Law
a selection by UAA's International Student Association
Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7:30-9 p.m.
A drama about the Algerian struggle for independence from France after WWII that centers around the story of three separated brothers. Visit the film's website for more details.
