Student Veterans of UAA would like to invite you to participate in the Remembrance Day National Roll Call. Following the 10th anniversary of 9/11, it is important that the nation remember those who have given their all in the global war on terrorism.

Through the National Roll Call the students of America's colleges and universities can demonstrate a commitment to remember those who, as President Lincoln said, "gave their last full measure of devotion." Our goal is to have a minimum of one school in each of the 50 states participating in the National Roll Call.

As a participating school, we pledge to:

  1. READ - We need students, faculty, staff, community leaders, family members, veteran supporters, etc. to volunteer to read the consolidated list of war dead from Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).
  2. PAUSE - At 10 a.m., 1100 hours, Pacific Standard Time, we will pause for a minute of silence to honor the fallen. (1100 hours is the time the armistice was signed on Nov. 11 to end World War I and is the traditional moment for such events.)
Please fill out this online form to volunteer or contact the Student Veterans of UAA through their Facebook page if you have additional questions.
