Sept. 20, 2011: Eye Tracking Technology and its Applications in Information Security talk set

by Kathleen McCoy  |

UAA professors Bogdan Hoanca and Kenrick Mock received a patent this past summer for a new system of computer identity authentication using eye-related information such as gaze tracking and iris scanning.

Mock and Hoanca will present "When Your Computer Knows What You Are Looking At: Eye Tracking Technology and its Applications in Information Security" at the UAA Campus Bookstore on Sept. 20, covering a history of eye tracking technology and research, displaying their current eye tracking system and authentication program, and even demonstrating the experience with a few willing audience participants.

This free event is sponsored in part by the Mathematical Sciences Department. Everyone is welcome to attend and free parking is available. For more information, visit the UAA Bookstore online.
