Learn more about yourself, discuss and experience diversity within your campus community at the one-day National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) workshop, "Welcoming Diversity/Prejudice Reduction." All UAA students are invited to attend. Lunch provided.
Professor Kimberly Pace and UAA student Kent Spiers will present the NCBI award-winning workshop. Students will have an opportunity to participate in an experiential process and a series of activities.
Participants will celebrate their similarities and differences, recognize information and misinformation learned about other groups (including their own), identify and express pride in the group(s) to which a person belongs and learn skills to effectively respond to offensive remarks, comments and much, much more.
