Let your holiday gift-buying support a worthy cause. The UAA Heifer International Club is hosting the Alternative Gift Fair. Some great businesses around Anchorage are donating items for a silent auction. All proceeds will go to support Heifer International. Heifer's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. By giving families a "hand-up," with gifts of livestock and training, not a "hand-out," they are empowered to live sustainable lives with self-reliance and hope.
