KRUA 88.1 FM, "Alaska's College Radio," has been nominated for a 2011 CMJ College Radio Award. The University of Alaska Anchorage's student-run station is a nominee for the award for Biggest Improvement.

CMJ connects music fans and music industry professionals with the best in new music through interactive media, live events and print. The organization also plans the yearly CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival which features hundreds of artists, films and panels--many of which are college radio oriented.

KRUA music director Tatiana Agnew has worked tirelessly to maintain the station's high standard of quality music selection, while adding new twists to KRUA's classic format. This is the first CMJ Award nomination for KRUA.

You can listen to KRUA at 88.1 FM in Anchorage or worldwide on their website.
