Cold weather advisory for the UAA community

by Kathleen McCoy  |

We are expecting a period of colder weather for most of this coming week. Temperatures will be in the single digits; hopefully on the positive side of the scale, but likely into the negative as well, especially at night. It is imperative during these cold snaps that the doors and windows of our buildings be kept securely closed when not actively being used.

Please pay attention that doors are not left propped open for extended periods of time and that windows be kept closed. We have had serious and expensive damage in the past from doors or windows left open. Let's all do our part to keep the university warm and safe during this cold spell, the holiday season and throughout the winter. If your space is very cold (low 60s or cooler), please let Facilities Maintenance know immediately at (907) 786-6980.

Safety is everyone's business. Thank you.
