ESPN names UAA one of the 10 Best Colleges for Skiers

 

It's no surprise to UAA's winter-loving crowd that their university made ESPN's list of the 10 Best Colleges for Skiers. The campus's proximity to Alyeska Resort, which boasts more than 600 inches of snow each winter, as well as access to some of the world's best backcountry skiing opportunities, make UAA a great choice for adventurous students who like to take their study breaks outdoors. UAA even offers a minor in Outdoor Leadership, which could include a class where students show up in parkas and helmets (PER A164 Skiing Alaska's Backcountry).
