Aleutian anthropology research

The archaeological excavation of an upland house and other upland sites on Adak Island is an ongoing project by anthropology professor Dr. Diane Hanson. See coverage of Dr. Hanson and her graduate and undergraduate research team's work in the summer of 2011 in the Anchorage Daily News from Sunday, Nov. 14, 2011.

Follow their progress in news, video and other reports at their Central Aleutians Upland Archaeological Project Facebook page and their You Tube channel. Hanson and her graduate students are employing social media to share their data as they gather and analyze it, so the page is frequently updated with their findings.
