The Taming of the Shrew, Nov. 25-Dec. 11 Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m.
Sundays at 3 p.m.
UAA Fine Arts Building, Room 220

UAA Department of Theatre and Dance is pleased to present "The Taming of the Shrew," by William Shakespeare, directed by David Edgecombe.

Blossoming beauty Bianca can't get married until her cantankerous older sister Kate has tied the knot. But who can tame ill-tempered Kate? Petruchio takes on the challenge of domesticating the willful "shrew," and finds he has a thorny task ahead of him. In the end, who will be tamed? Shakespeare's fiery masterpiece is the quintessential battle-of-the-sexes comedy! Our modern interpretation promises rollicking hijinks and a hilarious peek into gender politics.

On the preview night, Nov. 24, there will be a food drive for the Food Bank of Alaska. Bring canned food or other non-perishable goods to donate and you will see the show for free.

Tickets for all shows are available at the UAA Box Office or at CenterTix. To reserve seats through the UAA Box Office, call (907) 786-4849.
