TONIGHT: Polaris Lecture, 'The Changing Geopolitical Landscape and the Current World Crisis,' Nov. 28

Deborah Winslow Nutter will speak about "The Changing Geopolitical Landscape and the Current World Crisis: What it Means for Leaders and All of Us" in the upcoming Polaris Lecture. Dean Nutter teaches foreign policy leadership and team dynamics in the Global Master of Arts Program at The Fletcher School of Diplomacy at Tufts University, a program which attracts senior international affairs professionals from around the world in business, government, the United Nations and NGOs. She lectures and writes on the intersection of geopolitics and global leadership, using major historic world leaders and the challenges they faced as a basis for evaluating leadership performance and success.
 
Dean Nutter earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University, holds her A.B., Phi Beta Kappa, from Colby College and studied at Oxford University. She taught international politics, international organizations and law at Bowdoin and Simmons Colleges, and has been a Fellow at Harvard University at both the Center for International Affairs and the Center for Science and International Affairs.

Dean Nutter's research interests focus on how leaders confront changing geopolitical situations, and she has written articles on security studies, transatlantic relations, international political leadership and India's role in world affairs.
 
The Polaris Lecture Series is free and open to the public. Parking is free in the UAA parking lot east of the library after 7:30 p.m.
