Books of the Year Conversation Salon Series, Jan. 17Tuesday, Jan. 17, 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Loussac Library, Ann Stevens Room

Sharon Chamard, UAA Justice Center professor, will discuss "Criminalizing the Working Poor," as a part of the UAA/APU Books of the Year Conversation Salon Series.

Books of the Year has partnered with Loussac Library to co-host the "Conversation Salon Series," a series of discussions held in the Ann Stevens Room at Loussac Library the 3rd Tuesday of the month from September to May. This year's Conversation Salon will be around the theme "The Working Poor" (in line with one of the 2011-13 Books of the Year books, The Working Poor: Invisible in America by David Shipler.) The sessions are not presentations, but opportunities for attendees to discuss issues relevant to themselves and the community.
