Formation of Cabinet Sub-Committee for Institutional Planning and Assessment

by Jamie Gonzales  |

Chancellor Case is pleased to announce the formation of the UAA Cabinet Sub-Committee for Institutional Planning and Assessment, effective Feb. 3. The committee will assess institutional performance to support strategic planning, accreditation reporting and Cabinet decision-making. This group is created to address the new accreditation requirements under which periodic reporting is much more frequent and institutional assessment must be continuously applied to planning and budgeting.

The core membership of the committee is:
Renee Carter-Chapman, senior vice provost for Institutional Effectiveness
Megan Carlson, assistant vice provost and accreditation liaison officer
Sandi Culver, associate vice chancellor for Financial Services
Bruce Schultz, vice chancellor for Student Affairs
Will Jacobs, assistant to the provost for Strategic Planning

Other persons, including representatives from governance groups, will be asked to join the core membership to address specific projects, especially where significant accreditation-related analysis and reporting are involved.

The committee will regularly inform and consult with faculty and staff governance groups.

Questions about the committee and its tasks may be referred to Renee Carter-Chapman at anrmc@uaa.alaska.edu.
