Join UAA's Philosophy Department for the inaugural event of The Alaska Ethics Consortium. "The Common Good: A Symposium," will be March 19.

For over 2,000 years the idea of the "common good" dominated ethics and political philosophy. In modernity, the common good gave way to the interests of the individual. In the face of our global challenges today, the time may have come to revisit the ancient idea of the common good.
