David Driscoll appointed to associate dean of research for College of Health

David Driscoll, Ph.D., has been chosen as College of Health's new associate dean for research. The associate dean for research is a half-time position. In addition to the duties outlined in this new position, Driscoll will continue to function as the part-time director of the Institute of Circumpolar Health Studies.

In his new position, Driscoll will collaborate with faculty members, departments and centers to promote a research agenda within the College of Health. He will provide leadership in advancing the College of Health's overall interdisciplinary research and scholarship mission. To further enhance research, he will help programs that support externally funded research and faculty development activities.

He will serve as the College of Health's liaison with the University's Office of Sponsored Programs to coordinate research efforts with other UAA colleges, centers and institutes and partnerships with local, state, national and international groups.
