UAA Student Union Gallery

The UAA Student Union Gallery and the UAA/APU Books of the Year Program are pleased to present a new art exhibition, "The Working Poor: Reflections on Money & Morality."

"The Working Poor" is a juried art exhibition open to the Anchorage community, featuring works in 2D or 3D media on the Books of the Year themes of money and morality.

About the juror
Sonya Kelliher-Combs was raised in the Northwest Alaska community of Nome and is a UAA alum. Through her mixed media painting and sculpture, she offers a chronicle of the ongoing struggle for self-definition and identity in the Alaskan context.

"The Working Poor" exhibition is a collaboration between the UAA/APU Book of the Year Program and the UAA Student Union Gallery. For more information on the 2011-2013 Books of the Year, visit the website.
