Kenai River Campus professor receives international award

Sue MircovichSusan Mircovich, Kenai River Campus assistant professor of chemistry, had her CHEM 103 online course selected as an exemplary course for the 2012 Blackboard Exemplary Course Program. Mircovich is the first UA faculty member to have a course selected for this international recognition. Over the last 11 years, an average of 10 courses are recognized annually.

According to the Blackboard website, "The Blackboard Exemplary Course Program began in 2000 with the goal of identifying and disseminating best practices for designing engaging online courses." As a winner, Mircovich will receive a complimentary pass to the Blackboard World conference to be held in New Orleans later this year and be honored at the Catalyst Award luncheon.
